So, I went to 5 Below and found a Japanese snack aisle. In this aisle, I found Hello Kitty ramen. The last time I purchased ramen with a character on the logo, it was $5 and wasn't that good. (That was Hatsune Miku ramen. I'll put the link for that review at the bottom.) This time, the ramen was only $2, so I figured why not buy it. I ended up buying two packs of the ramen in case I liked it, and I purchased some ramen snacks with it too. The ramen snacks costed $2.25, and I bought two different flavors. Spicy and Imitation Chicken. After buying this food, I decided I needed a drink to go with all of it. Then I remembered, at a different 5 Below they had a Pusheen drink, so I bought that a few days after.
This is the Hello Kitty ramen, and all photos were "astonishingly" taken by me. |
The first thing I tried was the Hello Kitty ramen. It was pretty good. At first, the ramen was a bit bland. It was supposed to be spicy, but you could only feel the spice and not taste it. I blame that on the seasoning packets. Both were difficult to open, but when I opened the spice packet, the spice wasn't coming out. After a few bites, the ramen tasted a lot better. When I finished the noodles, I drank the broth. Normally I don't like doing that, but this broth was really good. Overall, I give the ramen a 7.5/10.

The first thing I tried out of these three items was the spicy ramen snack. I thought they would be bigger than they were so you could grab them like chips, but it looked like crushed up ramen. That made it a little difficult and annoying to eat. They weren't spicy and I thought it was similar to uncooked ramen. They weren't bad, and I would probably buy them again. I rate these a 6/10.
After that, I tried the Pusheen soda. It was very bubbly and sweet. It reminded me sparkling water and I don't think it had enough flavor. I think if blue was an actual flavor, it would taste like how the drink tasted. I know that probably sounds weird, but it actually tasted like the color blue. I give it a 5/10.
The last thing I tried was the normal ramen snack. I did not like this one. It tasted like burnt ramen and was very salty. The spicy one was definitely better. I tried combining both ramen snacks and seeing how they would taste together, and the normal ramen snack ruined the taste of the spicy one. I did have a second taste tester, and they said that they were good together and that the normal ramen snack was better. I give the normal ramen snack a 3/10.
