Mamamoo MY CON Concert Review

On May 27, I went to the Mamamoo MY CON concert in Chicago. If you read my blog about my top 5 K-Pop girl groups, you would know that Mamamoo is my all-time favorite K-Pop group. With that information, I'm sure you could imagine how excited I was for this concert. When we got there, we were given a poster. This poster wasn't the "I am your fan" poster that was given out at other Mamamoo concerts. This poster was a poster that said "Hwasa's Thighs Save Lives".
This poster is currently in the center of all
my other posters to show how beautiful it is.

Anyways, the actual concert was amazing. All four members did amazing, or as Solar said during the whole concert, they slayed. They performed a lot of songs, and during the costume changes, they played little movies which were both cute and funny. During Aya, Wheein had a dance break that was so cool to watch. During the solo stage, Solar performed Water Color by Wheein, Wheein performed Honey by Solar, Hwasa performed Eclipse by Moonbyul, and Moonbyul performed Twit by Hwasa. After that, all four of them performed Spit It Out by Solar, Make Me Happy by Wheein, Lunatic by Moonbyul, and Maria by Hwasa. My favorite performances out of all of those were Maria and Eclipse. Hwasa did so amazing when performing Eclipse, and it was just so cool to see all of the members performing Maria.

The whole concert was just so amazing to watch. It was a great experience, and I can't wait so see Mamamoo perform again. I'm hoping to go to a (G)-Idle concert soon, so hopefully that one's even better.

Hello Kitty Ramen + Pusheen Soda + Ramen Snack Review

So, I went to 5 Below and found a Japanese snack aisle. In this aisle, I found Hello Kitty ramen. The last time I purchased ramen with a character on the logo, it was $5 and wasn't that good. (That was Hatsune Miku ramen. I'll put the link for that review at the bottom.) This time, the ramen was only $2, so I figured why not buy it. I ended up buying two packs of the ramen in case I liked it, and I purchased some ramen snacks with it too. The ramen snacks costed $2.25, and I bought two different flavors. Spicy and Imitation Chicken. After buying this food, I decided I needed a drink to go with all of it. Then I remembered, at a different 5 Below they had a Pusheen drink, so I bought that a few days after.

This is the Hello Kitty ramen, and all photos
were "astonishingly" taken by me.

The first thing I tried was the Hello Kitty ramen. It was pretty good. At first, the ramen was a bit bland. It was supposed to be spicy, but you could only feel the spice and not taste it. I blame that on the seasoning packets. Both were difficult to open, but when I opened the spice packet, the spice wasn't coming out. After a few bites, the ramen tasted a lot better. When I finished the noodles, I drank the broth. Normally I don't like doing that, but this broth was really good. Overall, I give the ramen a 7.5/10.

background of some of my manga and figures

The first thing I tried out of these three items was the spicy ramen snack. I thought they would be bigger than they were so you could grab them like chips, but it looked like crushed up ramen. That made it a little difficult and annoying to eat. They weren't spicy and I thought it was similar to uncooked ramen. They weren't bad, and I would probably buy them again. I rate these a 6/10.

After that, I tried the Pusheen soda. It was very bubbly and sweet. It reminded me sparkling water and I don't think it had enough flavor. I think if blue was an actual flavor, it would taste like how the drink tasted. I know that probably sounds weird, but it actually tasted like the color blue. I give it a 5/10.

The last thing I tried was the normal ramen snack. I did not like this one. It tasted like burnt ramen and was very salty. The spicy one was definitely better. I tried combining both ramen snacks and seeing how they would taste together, and the normal ramen snack ruined the taste of the spicy one. I did have a second taste tester, and they said that they were good together and that the normal ramen snack was better. I give the normal ramen snack a 3/10.

Review of Hatsune Miku Ramen

Hatsune Miku ramen. If you've never heard of it, it's ramen that has Miku's face on the logo and turns blue once water is put in. (As shown in the photo)

Yes, those are Demon Slayer chopsticks.

Along with this ramen, I purchased a Pusheen x Hatsune Miku soda:

By the way, all photos seen in this blog
were "skillfully" taken by me.

Now to start making the ramen. First, you open the lid. Then, you add boiling water until the fill line. After that, you let the ramen sit for a little while so the noodles can turn soft, then you stir and enjoy.

The noodles before adding water.

One thing I would like to say about the noodles is that 1: There weren't a lot. 2: They were clear. I don't know why they were clear, but I assume it's so they can absorb the blue color better.

These are noodles after adding water.

Okay, so at this point, the ramen was ready to eat. I accidentally didn't leave them in the water long enough, but they had quite the delightful taste. The flavors were bursting out of the noodles so perfectly, and the soda was perfect with it. The taste was so immaculate, no words could describe it. After 5 minutes, I went in for another bite, only to realize I had run out of the heavenly tasting noodles.

These noodles were not good at all, but the soda was pretty good. I paid $5 for the ramen, so it was quite disappointing. The soda was on sale for I believe $1, so that was for sure worth it. I definitely don't recommend buying the ramen though.

My Top 5 K-Pop Girl Groups and Why

So, one thing about me is that I really enjoy K-pop. All groups are amazing in their own ways, but here are my top five. I already know someone's gonna come at me saying "What about Blackpink?" "Why aren't they number one?" But this is my opinion, so I ask you to respect that.

No. 5: Itzy

Starting at number five, we have Itzy. A group of 5 members. This group gets a lot of hate, but they're very talented woman. My bias used to be Ryujin, but now it's Yeji. I find her to be really good at dancing, and her facial expressions when performing are amazing. Some songs I recommend from them are Cheshire, Wannabe, Sneakers, and Loco.

No. 4: NewJeans

And now, I present NewJeans. They recently debuted in 2022, but they already have some really good songs like Hype Boy, Attention, and Ditto. All members of this group are under 18 years old, the youngest member is only 14. I think they were all too young to debut, but that's just my opinion. Despite how young they are, they're all really talented, and I can't wait for their next releases.

No. 3: (G) I-DLE

In the top 3, we have (G) I-DLE. I got into them after their comeback in 2022, titled Nxde. I absolutely love that song, so I decided to listen to more after hearing it. The song My Bag and Tomboy are also really good. All three of these songs have been put into my liked songs, which is under 30 songs currently. My bias of (G) I-DLE is Soyeon because I find her to have really unique parts in their songs and her rap is really cool.

No. 2: TWICE

In second place is Twice, a group of 9 members. I don't feel like listing them all, so if you want to know their names listen to the Twice song. (That's literally what it's called.) The leader of Twice is Jihyo, but my bias is Momo. Momo is the main dancer of Twice, and also the best dancer of all girl groups, so I respect her a lot. Some songs I recommend from Twice are Icon, Talk that Talk, Fancy, and Cry for Me.

No. 1: Mamamoo

Okay, so Mamamoo isn't the most popular group in the USA, but they deserve to be. If you haven't heard of them, the members are Solar, Moonbyul, Hwasa, and Wheein. All of these idols can rap, sing, dance, and are all beautiful. If they broke up and all became soloists, they would still succeed. They are all very talented women. My bias of Mamamoo is Hwasa, because she's just the best. She's also my ultimate bias. Some songs I recommend are Hip, Gogobebe, Aya, and Piano Man (the 2021 version).

Review of Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man is one of the best manga's I’ve ever read. It’s about a guy, Denji, who has inherited his father's debt and can't pay it off, but with the help of the Chainsaw Devil, (Pochita, his dog) who sacrificed himself to keep Denji alive, Denji can turn into Chainsaw Man.

How can Denji turn into Chainsaw Man?

The way Pochita saved him is how. Basically, Denji has Pochita’s heart inside of him, which then makes him half devil. He pulls a cord that’s attached to his chest to turn into Chainsaw Man.

Why did Pochita have to sacrifice himself to keep Denji alive?

Let’s go back to before Denji had Pochita’s heart inside of him.  He would kill devils to make money. One day, the person paying Denji decided to make a deal with a devil. In this deal, he had to help kill all devil hunters. Denji was a devil hunter, so he then lured Denji to this devil to attempt to kill him. Denji fought back but was close to death, and Pochita said that if Denji showed him all his dreams, he would give him his heart to continue living. Denji was unconscious when he said this, so he had no choice but to accept. He then kills the devil with his new chainsaw powers, and then a woman named Makima shows up and gives him the life of his dreams as long as he continues to kill devils. That is the plot of Chainsaw Man.

I recommend reading the manga, but it is a little gory. The anime also recently finished, and it I really enjoyed it. I recommend watching and reading Chainsaw Man.

I have also made a few Chainsaw Man videos on my YouTube channel:
